Wanting any advice/tips/helpful opinions on double strollers…3year old and 1year old…long walks, shopping.?

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

What’s the best double stroller for me…I have a 3year old and 1year old…We use it for long walks through city, grass and fields, gravel, up and down curbs, shopping so must fit and manuver through tighter and more crowded areas and store isles.
I owned a BOB revolution single jogging 3 wheel stroller that i had to sell so i can buy a double.
I loved the Bob stroller but cannot afford the bob double. My price range is 200-300max. (will look online or even for used ones when I figure out which one is best for me.)
I dont own a car so my stroller is our only transportation. Must be able to stand all weather, snow. rain, mud, etc. I also need as much storage as possible where ever i can get it since I do go to the store alot and always try to jam any open space with my groceries. I like the 3 large wheels for all terain, I love the brakes that are just one easy lock bar you kick down simply with a tap of the foot.

Please any tips, advice. experience. anything will help me!

Phil and Teds or Double-Bob?

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

I am expecting my second child and starting to think about what double stroller we should go with. For my son, we mostly use his Maclaren Quest but we also have a Britax Vigour (that his Britax infant carseat clipped on). My son will only be 23 months when the new baby is born so we’ll definately need a double stroller. I am thinking we’ll need one that an infant carseat can clip on (we’ll probably have to get a new infant carseat as the Britax one is not compatable with anything but Britax strollers). Can anyone tell me which is a better option between a Phil and Teds or a Bob Dualie for a toddler and a newborn? I’m a stay at home mom who’d be taking the stroller shopping, on errands, to the park, and for walks (maybe light jogging?). We live near Boston MA so we do have snowy winters.

lightweight strollers for cold weather?

Monday, August 30th, 2010

my son will be 4 months right around christmas time when I will be doing a lot of shopping and will be in and out of the car/going through crowded stores. Right now we have a HUGE Bob Revolution which has been great for everything that we’ve done with it thus far (although we’ve had limited use as our son is just 3 weeks old). I’m thinking of a Peg Perego, but I would like something with a larger seat to tuck him in with some blankets to keep him warm and comfortable.

high end umbrella stroller questions. peg perego pliko, maclaten quest, volo, triumph.?

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

we need a TALL (dh is 6’5") umbrella stroller. we have a large quattro tour but it’s a PITA to put in the car for every trip. canopies are also super important to me!

1. whats the difference between the mac triumph and quest? i can find the triumph cheaper 0 and it has a better pattern than the cheap quest 0
2. do i relly need an umbrella that reclines for weekend shopping trips?
3. does the aria fold small enough to be compared to the umbrella strollers when it comes to fitting in the trunk.
4. does anyone have an umbrella peg perego like the pliko? it seems like as they age the lock stops working and you have to fiddle with it
5. will my husband kill me if i buy another stroller?

Can someone recommend an umbrella stroller that won’t break my back!?

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

I am bending over to push the one I have, it’s the most cheap one you could possibly get. I am willing to spend up to but wanted to know if anyone had a recommendation for a good umbrella stroller that is tall enough to be comfortable. Links to online shopping preferred!

stroller setting of security alarms?

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

my phil and ted sport stroller sets off security alarms every time i go into and out of a store, like old navy, gap, banana. this makes shopping with a baby very difficult, especially when he’s sleeping. does anyone know why this is happening and what i can do to prevent this?

Does a compact jogging stroller exist?

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

I was set on the BOB Revolution stroller only to find out that it would be impossible to fit it in my car (Toyota Camry). I do a lot of jogging, shopping, as well as hiking with my husband. We need something that covers all grounds. I feel as though it is an impossible quest.
